NDC is all about setting goals and tracking progress because we understand it can be difficult to stay motivated. If you’re ready to elevate your dance journey, goal setting is super important! Goals help you stay focused, motivated and consistent.

SMART Goal Setting:

Create a SMARTS goal that could be achieved in 10 weeks with NDC:

SMARTS stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time specific, and Self-determined. Setting SMARTS goals can keep you focused and motivated by setting realistic and timely goals, that a fully determined by you and your own dreams. Here are some questions to consider to help your SMARTS goal creation: 1. Be as specific as you can. Is my goal too general? 2. How will I measure progress and improvement? E.g., Take photos or videos, use a journal or log book. 3. Do I have the tools and resources I need to achieve this goal? 4. Are there any hurdles that may get in my way? How will i realistically overcome them? 5. How long will I give myself to achieve this goal? I will achieve this goal by what date? 6. I want to achieve this goal for me, because...?
